A poem book by yours truly! Just to hold those who follow up with my work over until the next book in the "Tall Tales" series comes out. Its taking me a while to really get all my thoughts and ideas out for that personal project, so I decided to release some more matured pieces from my poem bank to help ease out that rocky release schedule, All based on love, life and the balance of how to figure it all out. I promise something's coming! Good things are just worth the wait.

Still Telling Tall Tales
The second book in the acclaimed "Tall Tales" series by Michael Walker Jr. Focusing on the dramatic ironies, changes and faults of everyday life, from sun up to sun down. The Tall Tale series is hands down one of my most personal works. And the second book in the series is due to hit the site early this year, 2025.

My name is Michael Walker Jr, Your average sixteen year old African American teenager that happens to have a computer, Some film equipment, A pen and a knack for storytelling. I wrote poems in the womb, And Recited sonnets when the doctors patted me on the backside to see if i would cry. My childlike wonder always gravitated to creative outlets like writing stories and making short video films. I guess that childlike wonder never fizzled out, Because years later i still find that the best Stories make a readers mind race as if it were in the middle of a cascading waterfall, Their own life experiences and character being the raft that helps them navigate through the world the writer structures around them. A good writer always considers their reader, And a good reader vice versa. Its how were able to connect and individually craft our own opinions and feelings towards a body of work, And there's something so captivating and special about having that connection with a human being, Just by sharing words on a page. That's why i write! And that's how my writing formulates visual experiences that encompass the thoughts, feelings and emotions we as individuals understand, That words may not be enough to convey. My art is my metaphorical "Garden" and i tend to it by sharing my works with the world. In hopes of said works inspiring others to pick up the pen, And see where the ink takes you!
